Daren L. Moreira

Daren Moreira focuses his practice on corporate finance and insurance regulation and transactions. He advises on mergers and acquisitions (including complex cross-border transactions), purchases and sales of specific blocks of insurance business, complex restructurings and corporate governance matters. He also assists clients with obtaining regulatory approvals both in the U.S. and internationally. With respect to regulatory matters, Daren advises on formation and licensing of agents and insurers, redomestications, insurance company charter and bylaw amendments, insurance company name changes, the Holding Company Act, credit for reinsurance and investment law compliance. Prior to joining Sutherland, Daren was an associate at a large international law firm.
