David is a member in Mintz Levin's Boston office and directs the firm's Real Estate Section. His practice focuses on real estate development and finance and is principally directed at a broad spectrum of land use matters, including all types of real estate acquisitions, as well as zoning, subdivision, project permitting and environmental issues. He represents a diverse group of real estate clients engaged in the development and leasing of shopping centers, office buildings and parks, R&D, medical and industrial facilities, and condominiums and apartment buildings. For the past several years, he has worked closely with the largest developer of regional shopping centers in the Northeast in connection with the development of several regional malls. Most recently, he has been actively engaged on behalf of multi-national companies and major national real estate companies in the development of large office towers in Boston's downtown financial and South Boston Seaport districts, as well as multi-use projects along Boston's waterfront. David also conducts an active real estate lending and workout practice involving construction and interim and permanent debt financings on behalf of both lenders and developers. He represents several large American and Japanese banks in connection with project financings in Massachusetts and numerous other states. David is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He is an overseer of Newton-Wellesley Hospital and is a member of the American, Massachusetts and Boston Bar Associations. He received his B.A. from Brown University (1966) and his J.D. from Boston College Law School (1969).
