David has done many things in his nearly 24 years of practicing law with Stuart + Branigin, including defending doctors and hospitals in malpractice lawsuits, litigating products liability cases throughout the United States, and counseling business owners, both large and small, in all aspects of business. He represents buyers, sellers, and lenders in a variety of business transactions and assists clients in developing estate and business succession plans to meet their individual goals. Being in the midst of some of the most productive farmland in the world, David works with agribusiness owners in all aspects of their business and is a regular speaker on business succession and estate planning for agribusiness.
David works with a wide range of nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations, including charities, educational organizations, foundations, health organizations, and churches and religious organizations. His work includes advising on topics such as entity formation, business structure and governance, exemption applications, property and sales tax, and unrelated business taxable income (UBTI) issues. In addition, David handles estate and trust administration, estate controversies, and tax planning.
David focuses his practice on helping corporate, nonprofit, and individual clients grow and evolve using the tools available to them.
