David is a licensed professional engineer and commercial trial lawyer whose practice emphasizes construction and real estate related disputes. He represents owners, architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in all stages of the construction process. David has successfully assisted clients in negotiating professional services, construction and design/build contracts for individual projects costing in excess of $100 million. He is national claims counsel for a construction material manufacturer, managing all product claims throughout the United States.

· Prepared and negotiated project management, construction, architectural and consulting agreements for $140 million capital improvement campaign for The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
· Assisted a Kansas City-based hospital with the negotiation of a multi-year agreement to outsource hospital's maintenance staff
· Advised and successfully resolved a $5 million claim by one of the world's largest providers of professional technical services, concerning a wind tunnel project in Southeast Asia
· Represented one of the industry's leading manufacturers of refractory materials in a $1.4 million mechanic's lien lawsuit which sought compensation for work performed during the renovation of a power plant
· Serve as national counsel and advisor for an industrial and commercial coatings manufacturer on product-related claims and lawsuits
· Construction counsel for a Chicago-based company to handle construction-related claims during its bankruptcy
