David C. Hillman

Biography
David C. Hillman has been involved in the formation of numerous physician and physician-hospital organizations, and has completed the formation of a new health maintenance organization that is jointly owned by a PHO and an insurance company. He served as lead counsel on the successful reorganization and sale of Jackson Brook Institute, Community Care System of Maine, and Viburnum Inc. (d/b/a Smith House). David has authored articles and spoken at numerous national seminars, including the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) Annual Meeting and the Hospitals and Health Systems Law Institute, on the reorganization of financially troubled health care institutions and negotiating managed care contracts. He is Co-Chair of the AHLA Task Force on Managed Care Contracting and he helped write and edit the AAHA’s Handbook on Integrated Care Systems.
