David G. Weil brings over 35 years of bankruptcy experience to Golden State Law Group. During his 35 career as an attorney, he has filed thousands of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases. His extensive experience in the bankruptcy field also includes representation of corporations and other business entities in complex Chapter 11 business reorganizations.
In addition, Mr. Weil has extensive experience in other practice areas including, but not limited to, estate planning, probate, family law, personal injury and general civil business litigation. In the late 1970s and 1980s, Mr. Weil also was afforded the privilege of being a sports attorney for a number of professional football players in the NFL, negotiating lucrative contracts on their behalf.
Mr. Weil graduated from UCLA in 1970 earning a bachelor's degree in Political Science with an emphasis in international relations. He continued his education at Southwestern University School of Law, earning a Juris Doctorate degree in 1973. Upon passing the California state bar exam in 1975 Mr. Weil was admitted to the California State Bar and the Central District of California Federal Court. Since that time, Mr. Weil is also admitted to the Southern as well as the Eastern District Federal Courts in California.
