| Biography | David Hainey is an associate in our Litigation Group in Toronto. He maintains a general litigation practice. Mr. Hainey obtained his Honours BA (with distinction) in philosophy from the University of Toronto in 2007 and his LL.B from Dalhousie University in 2010, where he was awarded the Leonard A. Kitz, Q.C. prize for advocacy. While attending law school, Mr. Hainey successfully represented individuals before the Nova Scotia Provincial Court as well as before various administrative tribunals on behalf of the Dalhousie Legal Aid Service. In 2010, he completed a secondment at the Enforcement Branch of the Ontario Securities Commission. Mr. Hainey was called to the Ontario Bar in 2011. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Advocates' Society, the Canadian Bar Association and the Ontario Bar Association.
