David J. Alt, J.D.

David J. Alt is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin where he was an elected to the honorary fraternities of Iron Cross and MACE, chosen most valuable Junior student and elected UW Union President. After graduation he served in the Peace Corps and was stationed in Borneo. Mr. Alt received his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law where he was invited to participate in Law Review. Attorney Alt has served as Judge Pro Tem in the Municipal Court of San Diego. Throughout his career, Mr. Alt has represented Commercial and Residential Mortgage Lenders in all aspects of their business. As a result of his expertise in these areas, he has frequently been asked to speak at various national and local conferences and seminars to address compliance and regulatory issues as they affect the Mortgage Lending Industry. Attorney Alt has given his time to membership in various industry related organizations both as a member and in leadership positions. His volunteer organizations include TERI Corp in support of the mentally disabled, and as a CERT volunteer emergency team member and Director of the emergency preparedness organization, MDP. On a monthly basis, Mr. Alt publishes the Alt & Associates newsletter email, Lenders Update, which provides timely updates relative to the ever changing mortgage industry.
