David J. Duddleston is a Shareholder in the Minneapolis, Minnesota, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. He joined Jackson Lewis after practicing as an in-house labor counsel and later led the labor and employment group at a local general practice law firm.

Mr. Duddleston was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study law in Germany's parliament. He served as law clerk for a Minnesota District Court judge. Currently, he publishes and speaks at programs for company officials, human resource staff and employment advisors.

Mr. Duddleston handles all aspects of labor and employment law and is also an experienced trial attorney. He defends employers in discrimination and wrongful discharge lawsuits in state and federal courts. He advises businesses on lawful hiring and employment practices, represents companies before government agencies, including the EEOC, U.S. Department of Labor, especially wage and hour audits and litigation, U.S. Department of Transportation, Minnesota Department of Human Rights, Minnesota Department of Economic Security and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. When appropriate, he mediates and finds creative solutions in litigation.

On the labor side, Mr. Duddleston is a classically trained labor lawyer who acts as lead counsel advising employers in union organizing campaigns, unfair labor practices and representation cases. He also assists companies avoid unions and maintain issue-free workplaces, and counsels in successfully thwarting union organization attempts. In addition, Mr. Duddleston handles labor contract administration issues, collective bargaining and all facets of labor law and related litigation.

Mr. Duddleston is certified by the Minnesota State Bar Association as a Labor and Employment Law Specialist.
