David Létourneau is an associate in our Business Law Group in Montréal. His practice focuses mainly on corporate and securities law, with particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, public and private financings, as well as corporate governance.
Most recently, Mr. Létourneau has worked as:
· counsel to OMERS Private Equity, the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, as well as to members of a consortium of investors in the sale of Cari-All Group Inc. - the largest manufacturer of shopping trolleys, display shelves and back-store equipment in the whole of the North American retail market - to trolley manufacturer Wanzl Metallwarenfabrik GmbH;
· counsel to Zarlink Semiconductor Inc., a leading supplier of mixed-signal chips - intended for a broad range of applications in the communications and health care sectors - in the context of the initial public hostile takeover bid and subsequent negotiations for the acquisition of Zarlink by Microsemi Corporation in a transaction valued at $635 million;
· counsel to Sidex L.P. in connection with various private placements in mining companies;
· counsel to Kruger Products L.P. in connection with its $175 million high yield note offering by way of private placement.
Mr. Létourneau received a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the Université de Sherbrooke in 2010. He is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association and of the Young Bar Association of Montréal. He was admitted to the Québec Bar in 2011.
