Professional Experience
Mr. Lieberman is an associate in Day Pitney's Commercial Litigation department. He represents clients in state and federal courts in civil litigation and appellate matters as well as in connection with government investigations and enforcement actions. Prior to joining Day Pitney, Mr. Lieberman practiced in the Complex Business Litigation and Government Enforcement groups in the Boston office of a national law firm. He also spent a year prosecuting environmental crimes, corruption and fraud as a volunteer Assistant Attorney General in the Massachusetts Attorney General's Criminal Bureau. From 2008 to 2009, Mr. Lieberman clerked for Judge Bruce M. Selya of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
Mr. Lieberman maintains an active pro bono practice, representing individuals seeking asylum before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the Federal Courts of Appeals.

ˇ Represented a pharmaceutical company in connection with a false claims investigation by the United States Department of Justice alleging kickbacks in the awarding of grants.
ˇ Represented a large pharmaceutical company in connection with a civil lawsuit related to a criminal false claims enforcement action.
ˇ Defended a financial services company from claims of breach of contract related to sale of mutual funds.
ˇ Assisted clients in management of claims under Manuscript D&O insurance policies.
ˇ Represented insurer in suit regarding claims under a Jewelers Block Policy.
