DAVID M. THOMAS, II is a Partner in the Labor and Employment group in the Jackson office. He previously served as Assistant General Counsel for employment at Entergy Services, Inc. David advises management in the development and implementation of personnel policies and employment practices regarding hiring, training, promotion, compensation, retention, harassment, discipline, discharge, and non-competition. David speaks at numerous employment law seminars and conducts in-house training programs for clients. He represents management interests before the Labor Relations Board, the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor, and state agencies, and represents employers in all phases of federal and state court litigation.

· Representation of employers in protecting their proprietary business information and preventing unfair competition by former employees.
· Representation of employers implementing RIFs and plant closures.
· Defense of clients against claims of race, sex, national origin, religion, age and disability discrimination and retaliation.
· Representation of employers under investigation for wage-hour violations.
· Representation of employers against union organizing campaigns and in defense of unfair labor practice charges.
· Representation of public employers against claims of constitutional violations including deprivation of property interests, equal rights, and free speech/association.
