Background
David Mousavi is an associate practising in our Toronto office and was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2011. He received his BA with a major in Health Sciences from York University and graduated in 2010 with a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business. He was also granted a Letter of Recognition by York University for his extensive international experience gained through studies at Waseda Law School in Tokyo, Japan and as a participant in the Global Leadership Program, offered in conjunction with Schulich at the Leon Recanati Graduate School of Business in Tel Aviv, Israel. During his articling term with BLG, David was seconded to the Canadian Securities Transition Office where he assisted with research and policy development.
Areas of Practice
David is a business lawyer practising in our Commercial Real Estate Group with an emphasis on asset and share acquisitions and dispositions, financings, partnerships, joint ventures, mixed use developments, public-private partnerships (P3s), project development, commercial leasing, and a broad range of commercial law matters. He is also a member of our Islamic Finance Focus Group.

ˇ Acted for clients in connection with acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, mixed use developments, financings, leases and other commercial real estate and commercial law matters.
ˇ Acted for various borrowers in connection with the financing of real property, including shopping centres, officer towers, and development projects.
ˇ Acted as part of a team in connection with transactions carried out by Real Estate Investment Trusts.
