David T. Wiley is is a Shareholder in the Birmingham, Alabama office of Jackson Lewis P.C.
Mr. Wiley concentrates his practice in training, advising and representing management in labor, EEO, workers' compensation and other employment matters. He is a regular contributing author to WAGE AND HOUR LAWS: A STATE-BY-STATE SURVEY, published by the Labor & Employment Law Section of the American Bar Association (ABA); the treatise AGE DISCRIMINATION IN EMPLOYMENT LAW, published by the Bureau of National Affairs (BNA); and the annual report of the ABA's Federal Labor Standards Legislation Subcommittee on the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). He also is a regular speaker at employment law and human resources seminars and conferences, including the Alabama State Bar Labor and Employment Law Section's annual conference. Mr. Wiley was a member of the Board of Directors of the Labor & Employment Law Section of the Alabama Bar Association from 2007 to 2013 and was the 2011 - 2012 Chairperson of the Board. He also is a member of the ABA (Labor & Employment Law Section).
Mr. Wiley is admitted to practice in the state of Alabama and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama; the Northern District of Florida; the Fifth, Sixth, Tenth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal; and the U.S. Supreme Court. He has been named as an Alabama Super Lawyer in Employment Law annually since 2009 and received the Martindale-Hubbell rating of “AV Preeminent,” denoting the highest ethical standards and levels of legal ability as judged by his peers and members of the judiciary.
Mr. Wiley received his B.A., cum laude, from Wake Forest University in 1985. After serving for six distinguished years as an officer in the United States Navy Supply Corps, Mr. Wiley received an MBA, with honors, from the University of Georgia in 1993. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia in 1996 and is a member of the Order of the Coif, recognizing the top law school graduates.
