David Tournier is an associate in our Business Law Group in Montréal.
Mr. Tournier's practice focuses on banking and corporate finance, particularly in the areas of corporate and commercial lending, and on secured transactions.
Before joining McCarthy Tétrault, Mr. Tournier practised in the fields of insolvency and banking law for another Canadian national firm. He also worked as a business and tax law consultant in Sète, France.
Mr. Tournier has authored or co-authored the following publications: Vente, donation et hypothèque d'actions, Juriclasseur (LexisNexis, 2009), and Les mutations de l'obligation, Juriclasseur (LexisNexis, 2008).

Mr. Tournier received his bachelor's degree in civil law (LLB) from the Université de Montréal in 2005, and his master's degree in international and transnational law (LLM) from the Université Laval in 2001. He also studied in France at the Université Montpellier 1, in Montpellier; at the Université de Franche-Comté, in Besançon; and at the Université Robert Schuman, in Strasbourg. He was called to the Québec bar in 2006.
