Biography

Mr. Leefe's practice experience spans over 30 years, all with Liskow & Lewis, and includes a broad range of litigation and contract matters. His practice emphasis is on maritime and offshore personal injury and property damage, drilling and downhole litigation, construction and shipyard disputes, products liability, contractual indemnity, and insurance coverage matters.

He has tried numerous bench and jury trials in federal and state courts, commercial arbitrations, and is experienced at the appellate level.

Within the firm, Mr. Leefe is chair of the Maritime, Oilfield, and Insurance practice group. He plays an active and valued role in recruitment and in the mentoring and professional development of firm associates.

He is a frequent continuing education speaker on maritime and oilfield litigation and insurance issues and is active in state bar activities. He is a longtime member of the Louisiana State Bar Association's House of Delegates, has served as Chair of the LSBA Client Assistance Fund Committee for several years, and was elected in 2013 to a three-year term as member of the LSBA's Board of Governors. He is a past President of the Loyola Law School Alumni Association and the recipient of several pro bono service awards.
