Diversity at
Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP
We are committed to being a diverse firm that mirrors our society. In 2000, DGS adopted its own Pledge to Diversify the Work Place, in which we announced our intention to have an attorney population that consists of 15% associates of color by 2005, and 10% partners of color by 2008, while maintaining our high percentage of women attorneys.
To pursue these goals, we have taken a leadership position in founding, organizing, and sponsoring a variety of efforts designed to promote diversity in the legal profession. For instance, in 2003 we founded and organized the Rocky Mountain Diversity Legal Career Fair (www.rmdlcf.com), which was the first-ever legal career fair offered to diverse students and employers in the Rocky Mountain region . In its first four years the RMDLCF brought together more than 50 employers and 600 law school students and recent grads from across the country for both scheduled interviews and a "Meet the Employer Expo." We have worked closely with Latina/o American Law Student Associations as a major sponsor of and advisor to the Eighth Annual National Latina/o Law Student Association Conference, which brought students and speakers from across the nation to Denver for a three-day conference in 2005. We have established at DGS a program called Women Working Together, which seeks to promote women lawyers both inside and outside the firm, thereby supporting a growing entrepreneurial spirit and personal satisfaction in their various practices. And we have aggressively recruited qualified diversity candidates through law schools and lateral hiring, contributed to scholarship funds, and underwritten a variety of specialty law student group and specialty bar association programs.
As a result of the commitment of our firm as demonstrated through these efforts, we are well on our way to meeting our goals. Our diversity statistics, and those of our peers nationwide and in Denver (as reported to the National Association for Law Placement), are set out below:

We look forward to building upon this early success to further promote an environment that supports attorneys who bring a wide variety of experiences and values to the workplace.
