For over thirty years, the partners of Davis, Saperstein and Salomon, P.C., a professional corporation, have been representing the injured in courtrooms throughout America. The firm was originally founded in 1981 by Samuel L. Davis and Marc C. Saperstein. Six years later, Garry R. Salomon joined his two childhood friends as a partner in the firm.
Throughout most of its existence, the firm has exclusively represented plaintiffs in personal injury cases. The firm does not represent any insurance companies, but has extensive litigation experience against almost all of the largest insurance companies in America.
The firm reached national recognition when, during the '90s, partner Marc C. Saperstein, a former President of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America - New Jersey Chapter, participated as a member of the trial team against Big Tobacco. He later joined the trial team fighting and litigating against American Home Products on behalf of thousands of patients injured by its harmful diet drug Fen-Phen.
Partner Samuel L. Davis has also achieved national recognition for his work in connection with defective orthopedic medical devices. Always an innovator in the legal field, Sam Davis was the first lawyer to use the Internet to allow a bedridden paralyzed quadriplegic client to participate in his trial.
Through the years, the firm has had the privilege of representing over twenty thousand injured clients and has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars in verdicts or settlements on their behalf.
More recently, Certified Civil Trial Attorneys Paul A. Garfield and Steven Benvenisti were named as partners of the firm. Steven Benvenisti is a nationally recognized motivational speaker, having miraculously made a full recovery from catastrophic injuries suffered in 1989 as a result of being struck by a drunk driver as a pedestrian.
The firm continued to grow and represents the injured in all twenty-one of New Jersey's counties as well as the New York metropolitan area. Currently the firm employs over forty professional and nonprofessional staff members, all hired to serve the needs of its personal injury clients.
Aside from its legal accomplishments, the firm has also been recognized for its civic and charitable work. Several times a year, lawyers of Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C., will speak or moderate a legal educational seminar as part of the legal profession's mandatory continuing legal education requirements.
The firm prides itself on never charging a consultation fee and charging a legal fee only if a case is won.
In addition to fighting for justice in the courtroom, the firm also advocates for continued and fairer consumer rights by reminding the lawmakers of the plight of the injured, the disabled, and the less fortunate.
