Dawn Austin Hulbert practices exclusively in Morgan & Morgan's Consumer Protection Department pursuing claims against companies and individuals for unlawful and abusive debt collection practices and debt harassment. Such claims include those available under the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act (FCCPA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUPTA).
Ms. Hulbert previously worked at as an Attorney ad Litem representing dependent children in a variety of administrative and trial proceedings. While representing dependent children, Ms. Hulbert was instrumental in systemic reforms within the DCF-contracted lead agency which resulted in many children receiving state and federal funds that would have otherwise been unavailable to them. As a result of her advocacy, Ms. Hulbert was selected as a candidate for the 2012 Florida Bar Trial Lawyers Children's Legal Services Fellow.
Ms. Hulbert also has extensive expensive in appellate and family law matters, having been a clerk and magistrate for 8 years with the Sixth Judicial Circuit. Ms. Hulbert is dedicated to civic service and has volunteered and served in various capacities within the local community and bar. Ms. Hulbert brings her passion and commitment "for the people" to redress wrongs that have been suffered by the consumer.
