Dawn Rawls is a member in the real estate section of the firm, resident in our Dallas, Texas office. Her practice is focused on commercial real estate, commercial law, commercial lending, including asset-based lending matters, opinion letters, and corporate law. Dawn also advises clients in matters of Louisiana wills, trusts and estates.
Commercial and Corporate Law
Dawn regularly advises clients with respect to the formation of limited liability companies and other entities. Additionally, Dawn has significant experience in general commercial contracts and commercial lending transactions. Dawn is a member of the firm's legal opinion committee.
Real Estate
Dawn represents national and local clients in the negotiation of retail, restaurant, office, shopping center and other commercial leases, including equipment leases.
Dawn also represents buyers and sellers of commercial real estate.
Dawn has assisted developer clients with the formation of Community Development Districts and associated public finance transactions relating thereto. Dawn regularly works with public finance counsel with respect to the real estate considerations of various public finance transactions.
Dawn also has experience in tax credit real estate transactions, including those involving low income housing credits and historic tax credits.
Estate Planning - Wills and Trusts
In her trusts and estates practice, Dawn represents clients of all wealth levels, including those subject to Federal Estate and Gift taxes. Dawn regularly assists clients in the preparation of Louisiana wills and trusts and in Louisiana succession matters.
