Dean A. Pappas is an expert in providing assistance to insurance companies in the analysis of property and liability insurance coverage issues including the preparation of written coverage analysis. He also represents insurers in litigation, arbitration and mediation concerning insurance contract or extra-contractual matters. He has been honored by being included in the list of Super Lawyers in the area of insurance coverage by Northern California Super Lawyers® magazine in 2004, 2005 and 2011.
Mr. Pappas is a partner in the Redwood City office of the firm. He joined the firm in 1984 following his studies at the University of San Francisco School of Law (J.D., 1984). He serves as an update author for the California Continuing Education of the Bar treatise California Liability Insurance Practice: Claims and Litigation. He is member of the Executive Committee of the Santa Clara County Bar Association Insurance Law Section and served as its Chairman in 1994 through 1996, 2005, and 2007.
Mr. Pappas enjoys frequently participating as a speaker at programs for attorneys and insurance claims professionals regarding insurance coverage and claim handling including "in-house" programs for insurers.
