Deborah's practice is concentrated in commercial contracting, corporate finance and compliance matters, including FERPA and consumer credit. She provides guidance to clients on effective contracting and contract management processes, and leads our contracting support services for education clients. Drawing upon expertise in contractual risk allocation and compliance issues, Deborah regularly negotiates professional services, marketing and human resources agreements, equipment leases and arrangements of specific relevance to clients in a variety of industries. Deborah has broad experience in the area of finance law and has represented issuers, users and underwriters in all aspects of taxable and tax-exempt bond financings.
Prior to joining the firm, Deborah spent several years in the general counsel's office of a national consumer financial services company, representing contract, regulatory and licensing matters.
