Debra M. Dietrich has broad expertise in the real estate and finance areas. She represents both lenders and borrowers such as Bank of America, Comerica, Wells Fargo, Pacific Mercantile Bank, Lucas Development Corporation, Shopoff Properties Real Estate Investment Trust, Cameo Homes, and Three G. Development in providing and obtaining acquisition, construction, and take-out financing. She has extensive experience representing lenders and borrowers in connection with workouts, deed-in-lieu transactions, receiverships, foreclosures and bankruptcies. She formerly served as West Coast regional counsel to the real estate division of Mutual of New York Life Insurance Company, and presently represents several institutional and non-institutional lenders in connection with loan portfolio and asset management. Ms. Dietrich also represents lenders and real estate developers in connection with the acquisition and sale of real property, acquisition and sale of loan portfolios, unsecured and asset based lending, formation and termination of real estate joint ventures, and in property management issues. She has significant experience as well in the acquisition and development of wind projects, affordable housing projects, and condominium and subdivision developments.
Ms. Dietrich formerly practiced with Latham & Watkins. She graduated in 1985 from Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley, and also graduated in 1986 with an M.B.A. from the Haas School of Management at the University of California, Berkeley. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.A. degree in Economics in 1982.
