| Biography | Denis Serkin practices in the area of construction law, representing construction managers, general contractors, specialty contractors, owners, developers, and subcontractors in the resolution of disputes through litigation, arbitration and mediation. He has specifically represented and advised clients in the areas of construction defect, delay and disruption claims; change order and extra work claims; mechanic's liens; and public bidding challenges. Mr. Serkin also advises clients in the drafting and negotiation of construction agreements. Prior to entering the legal profession, Mr. Serkin worked as a project engineer for a major state agency. Mr. Serkin managed numerous projects from inception to bidding and actual construction throughout the state of New Jersey. Mr. Serkin received his Bachelor of Science from Stevens Institute of Technology and his law degree, cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law. Mr. Serkin is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey as well as the United States Patent & Trademark Office. Additionally, Mr. Serkin has been recognized by New Jersey Super Lawyers as a 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 Rising Star. Mr. Serkin is fluent in Russian. |
