Denise L. Wester, has devoted her practice over the past 22 years to the representation of national and regional financial institutions and businesses, with an emphasis on complex commercial matters and litigation, as well as business law.
In the area of commercial law, Denise's representation of financial institutions and businesses includes complex commercial collections, recovery and judgment enforcement, confession of judgments, commercial and retail foreclosure, commercial loan workouts and documentation, creditors' rights and bankruptcy, secured transactions, loan documentation, lender liability, loan sales, due diligence, real estate, equipment leasing, and regulatory matters.
In the area of business and employment law, Denise has extensive experience with workplace investigations of sexual harassment and discrimination claims for employers including manufacturers, municipalities, churches, police departments, ambulance corps, transportation companies, and other businesses. She has also counseled numerous small and large businesses, as well as individuals, in a broad range of industries including food service and distribution, construction, retail, manufacturing, fire restoration, publishing, and real estate. She has handled the purchase and sale of businesses, ownership disputes, employment matters, collection matters, real estate matters, and contract negotiation and disputes.
Denise is a member of the Lehigh County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, and is past lecturer on judgment enforcement and sheriff's sales. She also serves as an arbitrator appointed by the Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas.
Denise was an intern with the United States Department of Justice, Organized Crime and Racketeering Section, Miami Strike Force; and with the Florida Attorney General's Office, Miami, Florida, where she argued criminal appeals before the Third District Court of Appeals.
