Dennis A. Johnson is a partner in the Indianapolis, Indiana office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP where he is a member of the Real Estate and Corporate Departments and co-chair of the firm's Financial Institutions Practice Group. He practices in the areas of real estate finance and development. Mr. Johnson represents construction and permanent real estate lenders, commercial real estate developers, developers of multi-family and single-family residential projects, and single-family residential builders. He also represents a national sorority headquartered in Indianapolis that owns 80 chapters throughout the United States. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® in the area of Real Estate. Mr. Johnson is a member of the Indianapolis (Real Property and Probate Section) and the American Bar Associations. He received his B.A. in 1982 from the Indiana University School of Business and his J.D. cum laude in 1985 from the Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis. He is admitted to practice in the state of Indiana. Mr. Johnson is the former chair of the Business Section of the Indianapolis Bar Association and a former member of the board of directors of the Community Organization Legal Assistance Project.
