Biography

Dennis Ziemba has a diversified civil practice, with a particular emphasis on products liability matters and other tort actions, including the representation of manufacturers of automobiles, automotive component parts, consumer products, industrial equipment and motorcycles in litigation matters. Dennis has been involved in trials and appeals of, among other matters, complex product liability actions in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Delaware courts. He also serves as regional counsel for a national motorcycle manufacturer.

Representative Matters

· Thompson v. Toyota Motor Corporation, 545 F.3d 357 (6th Cir. 2008) The United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit affirmed the lower court's grant of a Motion to Dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction against a foreign manufacturer for an accident which occurred in a foreign country;

· Goodridge v. Hyster Co., 845 A.2d 498 ( Del. 2004) The Delaware Supreme Court affirmed the preclusion of plaintiffs' expert's opinions against defendant manufacturer;

· Gonzalez v. Ideal Tile Importing Co., Inc., 853 A.2d 298 (N.J. Super. 2004) The New Jersey Superior Court - Appellate Division affirmed the lower court's grant of summary judgment in favor of defendant manufacturer, finding that plaintiffs' claims were preempted;

· Milanowicz v. The Raymond Corporation, 148 F. Supp. 2d 525 (D.N.J. 2001) The District Court for the District of New Jersey granted summary judgment to defendant manufacturer, finding plaintiffs' expert's testimony unreliable.
