| Biography | Derek Edwards is a partner at Waller Lansden, practicing in the firm's Trial and Appellate section. Mr. Edwards' practice focuses on complex commercial and financial services litigation, particularly lender liability defense, as well as business and fiduciary torts and other litigation concerning the break-up of closely held businesses. In state, federal and bankruptcy courts throughout the United States, Mr. Edwards represents banks, lenders, financial institutions, manufacturers, distributors and maintenance facilities, as well as individual business owners and entrepreneurs. Mr. Edwards both prosecutes and defends business torts, claims of fraud and breach of fiduciary duties, and breaches of contracts, and counsels clients on commercial law, lender liability, and creditor's rights in their day-to-day operations.
