Deutsch, Kerrigan & Stiles has been a leader in the courtroom since 1926, and provides consultation and litigation services for all types of tort and insurance matters, including premises and products liability claims, transportation industry claims, and appellate work. While most of our work is defense-oriented, we also represent individual and corporate plaintiffs in select situations.

Premises Liability
DK&S is experienced in defending business and property owners facing claims of negligence. Transportation
DK&S has handled numerous types of transportation cases, including: commercial aviation carrier cases such as an Eastern Airlines crash in New York and a Pan Am crash in Kenner, LA, helicopter crashes, and many other aviation-related personal injury and death cases; 18-wheeler accidents, including fatality, collision, personal injury, product defect, toxic spill, and phantom injury cases; cargo and freight claims; and railroad/bus terminal incidents. Members of the firm have also handled motorcycle, golf cart and bicycle product cases, as well as coverage questions such as bobtail/deadhead coverage issues, workers compensation issues, environmental coverage issues, and coverage questions under groundskeepers' policies in connection with truck explosions that result in environmental claims.

Appellate
DK&S' team of appellate attorneys are experienced in overturning unfavorable opinions and upholding favorable ones in The United States Supreme Court, The United States Courts of Appeals, and the Louisiana and Mississippi Supreme Courts and Courts of Appeals. We have saved our clients millions of dollars through the appeals process, and our clients can benefit from our appellate counselors working hand-in-hand with our litigation attorneys during the course of a trial.
