With a well-coordinated team of more than 200 lawyers, we will, on any given day, advise on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), securities offerings, securitizations, demutualizations and other mutual conversions, insolvencies and restructurings, regulatory matters, corporate governance, compliance, taxation, insolvencies and governmental investigations. We also advise legislators, regulators and other policymakers. Our Dispute Resolution Team handles a wide range of matters, including arbitrations, mediations and litigation. Always, our lawyers endeavor to provide innovative solutions and commercially tailored advice for our insurance industry clients.

Our lawyers are architects of insurance laws and regulations. We draw upon our wide-ranging experience to provide our clients with comprehensive regulatory advice and compliance services across the globe. This includes advice on strategic growth, capital structure and financial issues, access to and exiting insurance markets, as well as regulatory issues surrounding the operation and governance of insurers.

Our Corporate Insurance Team has been involved in many of the largest insurance M&A transactions, both friendly and hostile. We are also active in debt and equity offerings for the industry and have been responsible for many of the creative capital-raising and financing vehicles that are specific to the insurance industry, including Triple X securitizations, catastrophe bonds and sidecars.

We have unsurpassed expertise in insurance related bankruptcies and restructurings. Our deep experience has seen us advise a range of companies on insolvency issues, to provide clients with clear comparisons of in and out-of-court solutions and to custom-make solutions for each client's objectives.

We have advised both insurers and insureds on and litigated or arbitrated disputes concerning all aspects of insurance law and regulation and coverage questions, including business comprehensive general liability policies, environmental coverage, fidelity bonds, errors and omissions policies, professional malpractice policies and directors' and officers' liability policies. Our Reinsurance Dispute practice represents both cedents and reinsurers in mediations, arbitrations and trials. We also draft, negotiate and provide structural advice on reinsurance agreements, and we assist ceding insurers with their negotiations regarding commutations and the collection of reinsurance recoverables.
