| Biography | Ms. Telfer is an attorney, private guardian ad litem, and family law mediator whose practice focuses primarily on child custody issues, high conflict divorce, domestic violence, and juvenile law. She has given seminars and presentations on various family law issues for the 13th Annual Conference on Critical Issues Facing Children & Adolescents (2009), the Utah Child Care Development Institute (2007), and the Utah State Bar Fall Forum (2007). Ms. Telfer has been published in the Journal of Law & Family Studies with an article entitled, "In Re T.M.: Who Protects the Indigent Parents?" (2004, vol. 6, p. 161). Ms. Telfer has had broad experience in family law practice. Previous to joining Clyde Snow, she worked as a law clinic program developer for the S.J. Quinney College of Law with Lokken & Associates (2003 to 2004). She also clerked for the Children's Justice Division of the Utah Attorney General's Office (2004 to 2005), interned for the Legal Aid Society of Salt Lake City (2005), and clerked for Konrad S. Lee, P.C. (2005). Ms. Telfer practiced as an attorney in the Third District Court Office of the Guardian ad Litem for a year (beginning 2006) and then operated her own law practice, Telfer Law Office, L.L.C. from 2007 to 2009. She has received several awards and honors over the years. While in law school, she received the CALI (Outstanding Student) Award in Legal Methods. She then was the Women's Law Caucus President and a Junior Staff Member for the Journal of Law & Family Studies from 2003 to 2004. In the following years, Ms. Telfer was a teaching assistant for Legal Methods (2004 to 2005), recipient of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society Scholarship (2004), and recipient of the John Farr and Ann Clayson Larson Scholarship in Family and Juvenile Law (2004). Most recently, Ms. Telfer was named a Rising Star in family law by Mountain States Super Lawyers magazine.
