Don Williams is a partner in the Indianapolis, Indiana office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP and is a member of the Firm's Real Estate and Corporate Departments. He also serves as Chairman of the Firm's Real Estate Department. Mr. Williams concentrates his practice in commercial real estate transactions. His practice focuses on the representation of developers, landlords, tenants, and property owners in the acquisition, disposition and leasing of commercial, industrial, single family, and multifamily properties as well as the development of unimproved real estate for commercial, industrial, single family, and multifamily purposes. Mr. Williams also represents both lenders and borrowers in the negotiation and documentation of construction and permanent loans and has significant experience in complex utility condemnations. Mr. Williams received his J.D. cum laude from Northwestern University in 1991. He graduated from Indiana University in 1988 where he earned a degree in finance with highest distinction from the Indiana University School of Business. He was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and the Indiana University Student Foundation Steering Committee. Mr. Williams joined Barnes & Thornburg in 1991. He is admitted to practice in the state of Indiana and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit. Mr. Williams is active in a number of civic, social and cultural organizations. |
