Doreen Davis practices nationwide, concentrating in NLRB advice and litigation, union organizational activities, and collective bargaining. She also represents employers in labor arbitrations. Doreen advises clients on the labor implications of mergers, acquisitions, and plant consolidations and provides strategic advice in corporate campaigns. Her experience spans many industries, including traditional manufacturing, health care, hospitality, gaming, retail, construction, and energy.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2012, Doreen successfully litigated one of the largest cases ever to emanate from the Philadelphia region at the NLRB. The case involved millions of dollars in potential back pay and the possibility that a business that relocated to Michigan would be ordered back to Wilmington, Delaware. She also litigated a seminal case in secondary boycott law, which established the principle that noise could be considered coercive conduct. She began her career as a field attorney with the National Labor Relations Board, Fourth Region.
