| Biography | Dorothea Coy is a Partner in the Savannah office and maintains a national practice in the areas of Commercial Finance Law and Real Estate Development, with an emphasis on representation of institutional lenders in real estate secured loan transactions. A native of Savannah, Ms. Coy practiced in Newport Beach, California, and Washington, D.C. prior to her return in 1994. Ms. Coy is a member of the District of Columbia Bar, the State Bar of Georgia, the State Bar of California, and the Virginia State Bar. Ms. Coy received an AV rating from her peers, as published in Martindale Hubbell. Ms. Coy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Magna Cum Laude, in 1975 and a Juris Doctor degree, Cum Laude, in 1979 from the University of Georgia. During law school, Ms. Coy was on the Staff of the Georgia Law Review in 1977-78 and was an editor on its Managing Board in 1978-79.
