The law firm of Dr. K. Chrysostomides & Co. was established on 1st January, 1981, by two of its senior partners, having branched off from another law firm in Nicosia, Cyprus. It now has a team of 21 lawyers, general practitioners, but at the same time each specializing in their own fields. All its members have had a varied education in universities outside Cyprus and the firm is able to correspond professionally in at least four European languages, namely, English, French, German and Greek.
The firm's areas of expertise encompass, inter alia, the following subjects: Corporate Law (incorporations, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, foreign investments in Cyprus and Cyprus investments abroad, offshore companies, re-organizations and insolvencies). Taxation law (tax planning, application of Double Tax Treaties, tax litigation and negotiation). Banking and Securities law (establishment of banks, offshore banking units, shares and bonds, investment funds, financing agreements and rendering legal opinions thereon, stock exchange law and exchange control law). Competition Law. Intellectual property law (trade mark filing, protection of trade marks, passing off, licensing, copyright and industrial property). Real estate law (acquisitions, related contracts and negotiating necessary permits). Construction law. Aviation Law (registration of fixed and rotating wing aircraft, financing, mortgaging). Shipping and Admiralty (registration of ships, ships mortgages, financing and admiralty). Insurance law, Litigation and Arbitration in all matters related to the above fields.
The firm's partners are members of a number of professional international organizations and have taken part as speakers in conferences, seminars and professional meetings. Members of the firm have published books, articles and contributions relating to Cyprus law, on a variety of subjects: business law; corporate law; taxation; offshore business in Cyprus; arbitration law; injunctions; shipping and admiralty; intellectual property and international law.

It is also the Cyprus firm to TELFA (Trans European Law Firms Alliance) and WSG (World Services Group).
Dr. Kypros Chrysostomides one of the founders of the firm has served as a member of the Cyprus Government (Minister, Government Spokesman) from March 1, 2003 to January 16 2006. He is now a member of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus.
