Dukes, Dukes, Keating & Faneca, P.A. was formed by William F. Dukes, managing partner for Daniel, Coker, Horton and Dukes at Gulfport, Mississippi, from 1968 until 1980, when Mr. Dukes, a retired FBI agent and graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law, withdrew and formed the firm that bears his name, joined by his son, Walter Dukes. In 1982, shareholder Hugh D. Keating joined the firm, followed by Cy Faneca in 1988. Phillip W. Jarrell became a shareholder in 1995 and W. Edward Hatten, Jr. and Trace D. McRaney became shareholders in 2002. Halil "Sul" Ozerden became a shareholder in 2003 and withdrew in 2007 as he was appointed to the United States District Court Southern District, Mississippi. Founder, William F. Dukes died in late 2003. Bobby R. Long became a shareholder in 2005. The firm has developed a widely diversified defense and commercial transaction oriented practice.
