Ed focuses his practice primarily on representing debtor corporations in complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy and restructuring matters. In addition, he has also represented a number of official committees, landlords and both secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy proceedings. Ed has been recognized in Chambers USA - America's Leading Lawyers for Business for his "clear understanding of the nuances of bankruptcy law." He has also been identified by The Deal as a "Top Bankruptcy Lawyer".
Some of his most significant cases to date include Lee Enterprises, Future Claimants Representative in Bondex, Pliant Corporation, Merisant Worldwide Inc., Smurfit Stone Container, Flying J Inc., Budget Rent-A-Car, Alterra Healthcare Corporation, R .H. Donnelley Publishing, and Sun-Times Media Group.
In addition to his extensive experience in representing companies and corporations in their restructuring efforts, Ed is also a member of the Firm's Hiring Committee and the Business Development Committee.

In July of 2006, Pliant Corporation and its debtor affiliates emerged from chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in just over six months, restructuring nearly $600 million in debt.
