| Biography | He has been a partner of the Law Firm since its foundation, having been a partner since 1985 in one of the predecessors firms that gave way by merger to the current Law Firm. Since 1980 he has been actively involved in banking and financial law, acting as legal counsel for several domestic and foreign banks, representing clients in the creation of new financial institutions and in the acquisition of branches as well as in mergers and acquisitions. He has also handled the structuring of syndicated loans, capital markets transactions as well as the structuring of different kinds of trusts. He has represented financial institutions in administrative proceedings brought by the Argentine Central Bank and criminal summary proceedings filed against banks, being highly qualified in this field of the law. He has served in boards and committees of several financial institutions. In the early 90's he was actively involved in the privatization of state-owned companies that was launched in Argentina, particularly in the electricity industry (generators, distributors and transporters). He actively participated in the bidding procedures, in the formation of joint ventures, in the preparation of the bids, in the negotiation and drafting of the operation agreements and in the financial structuring for the acquisition of such companies. He currently serves as a member in the board and supervisory committee of several electricity utility companies and is legal advisor to leading commercial chambers.
