| Biography | Edward J. Hannafin practices in the areas of Business, Corporate and Commercial Transactions, Banking, and Real Estate matters. He was a founder and chairman of the Board of Directors of The Village Bank & Trust Company and its parent corporation, Village Bancorp, Inc., which merged into Webster Bank in 1999. He serves and has served as counsel to several lending institutions, corporations, and businesses. Mr. Hannafin has held directorships with Connecticut and national companies in varying types of service and manufacturing businesses. He also is a past president of the Regional YMCA, has been a director of several charitable organizations, and has been a member of local municipal boards. His extensive experience in the area of real estate law has resulted in his being named counsel to the Northern Fairfield County Board of Realtors and the Ridgefield Board of Realtors. In the corporate area, Mr. Hannafin specializes for the firm in financing, commercial transactions, sales and acquisitions, and contracts. He has frequently taught local real estate courses for brokers.
