Edward O. Henneman, Jr.

Ted Henneman is a Partner in the Savannah office of Hunter Maclean and practices in the area of Real Estate Development, with a focus on affordable housing and financing through the use of I.R.C. § 42 Tax Credits.

Mr. Henneman has over ten years experience in the field of affordable housing financing through the use of federal and state tax credits. In addition, Mr. Henneman has specific experience closing HUD supported mixed financed projects, including projects financed in part though HUD's HOPE VI program. Mr. Henneman has experience closing tax exempt bond financed projects, HUD 221(d) (4) loans, HOME financing, both through the Georgia Department of Community Affairs and otherwise, and Federal Home Loan Bank financing. Mr. Henneman represents both for profit and 501(c)(3) companies in the development of affordable, multifamily housing and mixed use projects.

In addition to his affordable housing work, Mr. Henneman has a general commercial real estate practice. He's participated in the development of several commercial and office parks, the development and construction of market rate apartment complexes, mixed use developments consisting of both housing and commercial components, and commercial building renovation and rehabilitation. He has vast experience in real title matters, and is an authorized title insurance agent for Ticor Title Insurance Company, Chicago Title Insurance Company, and Lawyers Title Insurance Company.

Mr. Henneman received his B.A. from Colgate University in 1989, and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1994. He is a member of the Georgia Affordable Housing Coalition, the State Bar of Georgia, Real Property Law Section, and the Savannah Bar Association.
