Effie is an associate in the Real Estate Department of the Boston Office. Effie has experience in the representation of developers, corporations and non-profit entities in the acquisition, disposition, development and financing of commercial real estate. Additionally, Effie has assisted in the representation of both landlords and tenants in commercial real estate leases and has represented lenders in mortgage-secured financing transactions.
•Effie worked on a team representing a lender in connection with an $85.8 million loan secured by 18 mortgages in eight states nation-wide.
•Effie assisted in the representation of a borrower in the construction financing of a mixed-use development in Boston's Chinatown neighborhood, and is participating in the representation of a developer in the development and construction financing of two major hotels in South Boston.
•Effie contributed to the representation of a Massachusetts municipality in a dispute regarding permitting of a wireless service telecommunications tower.
•Effie represents a non-profit organization in the acquisition of an affordable housing project in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston.
Before Edwards Wildman
Effie graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston College Law School and was invited to join the Order of the Coif. While at Boston College Law School, Effie focused on real estate law, and was awarded the Boston College Certificate in Environmental Law.
Prior to attending Boston College Law School, Effie graduated with Distinction from the University of Virginia, where she received a B.A. in both American Studies and Environmental Sciences.
