Eileen Gleimer, a Partner at Crowell & Moring LLP in Washington, DC, specializes in aviation law with emphasis in business aviation. She represents and advises large and small businesses as well as individuals owning, operating and managing corporate aircraft and fractional interests in commercial transactions involving, among other things, the purchase, sale, lease and financing of business and commercial aircraft and the regulatory issues relating to the operation of the aircraft. Eileen is a member of the NBAA Tax Committee, NBAA Security Council, NATA Air Charter Committee and the Board of Advisors of the Journal of Air Law & Commerce. Eileen also participated in the FAA Part 135/125 Aviation Rulemaking Committee established by the FAA Administrator to review and revise existing regulations governing Part 135 air carriers and the Fractional Ownership Aviation Rulemaking Committee that developed the recommendations which form the basis of the regulations governing fractional ownership. Eileen is a guest speaker at many business aviation conferences and has published several articles relating to corporate aviation and fractional ownership. She has been recognized by The Best Lawyers In America 2008 in the area of equipment finance law.
Eileen is featured in a training video as part of the National Business Aviation Association's (NBAA) "No Plane, No Gain" program which aims to highlight the valued contributions of business aviation to the economy. Eileen's section on aircraft policy is part of a six-part Business Aircraft E-Valuation Toolkit.
Eileen earned a JD with distinction, from Emory University School of Law in June 1982 where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and Articles Editor of the Emory Law Journal, a B.S. cum laude, in Administration of Justice from The American University in May 1979 and a Certificate in Executive International Business from Georgetown University in July 1996.
