| Biography | Elana Ben-Dov is a partner in Peckar & Abramson's Labor Relations and Employment Law Department. Ms. Ben-Dov defends Employment Practices Liability and Directors & Officers claims through insurance coverage, and she coordinates local and co-counsel in multiparty and multi-jurisdictional litigation. Ms. Ben-Dov has extensive experience litigating employment discrimination, harassment, whistleblowing, retaliation, wrongful discharge, defamation, misappropriation, and other employment-related cases before federal and state courts at both the trial and appellate levels. She handles mediations and arbitrations in alternative dispute resolution forums, defends administrative proceedings before the EEOC and other federal, state, and local fair employment practice agencies, and defends wage/hour audits and other regulatory compliance investigations before federal and state departments of labor. She also represents employers in labor-management disputes, including grievance arbitrations. Ms. Ben-Dov provides clients with day-to-day management counseling on a wide range of employment issues, including employee policies, contracts, discipline, terminations, leaves of absence, accommodations, complaints, investigations, benefits, confidential information, noncompete agreements, company reorganizations, and executive compensation. Ms. Ben-Dov is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York. She is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Sections of the New Jersey State, New York State, New York City, and American Bar Associations. Ms. Ben-Dov received her Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers College. |
