Elayna J. Youchah is a Shareholder in the Las Vegas office of Jackson Lewis P.C.
Ms. Youchah works on matters arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act including, but not limited to, wage and hour class actions, and state law wrongful termination matters. She has broad experience dealing with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the U.S. Department of Labor, as well as state and local labor and employment agencies throughout the United States. Additionally, she has an extensive appellate practice, including oral arguments before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Throughout her distinguished career, Ms. Youchah has received numerous awards and honors. She served as a law clerk to Honorable Magistrate Judge Lawrence R. Leavitt of the U.S. District Court in Nevada. She is a member of the Order of the Coif and the Hale Moot Court and is the recipient of an American Jurisprudence Award. She has been recognized as a Leading Employment Lawyer in Chambers USA, named in Best Lawyers in America for Labor and Employment Law by U.S. News . She has also received an AV Preeminent peer review rating as a Top Rated Lawyer in Labor and Employment by Martindale-Hubbell as well as the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers - exclusively for women attorneys who have received the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards from their peers. Ms. Youchah has been selected as a Mountain States Super Lawyers as well as by “Top Lawyers” by Vegas Inc. Ms. Youchah is the author of many notable articles including “Selecting and Terminating Employees in Nevada” published by the National Business Institute and “Religion, Free-Speech and the Workplace,” published in Managing the Workforce.
Ms. Youchah received her J.D. from the University of Southern California in 1993 and holds additional degrees from the University of Michigan and the University of Washington.
