Elena represents clients in corporate and commercial litigation, primarily in the Delaware Court of Chancery and the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. Her practice focuses on counseling and litigation in connection with merger and acquisition transactions, corporate stock appraisal, and cases involving breach of fiduciary duties, fraud and breach of contract. Elena is also active in commercial and intellectual property matters in the District Court.
Elena often represents non-U.S. entities in U.S. litigation proceedings.
Before attending law school, Elena studied English Constitutional Law and Jurisprudence as a visiting student at Somerville College, Oxford University, and received a M.A. in Legal and Political Theory from University College London. She has represented many pro bono clients, primarily in the area of international human rights, and worked on law reform issues as an attorney for an NGO in Moscow, Russia.
Elena frequently lectures on corporate governance at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and speaks on cross-border legal issues.
