Elizabeth Rodriguez has extensive litigation experience defending all aspects of employment law cases including wrongful termination, employment discrimination, workplace harassment, and public accommodation. She has enforced restrictive covenant agreements including trade secret and non-compete provisions. She also has extensive experience defending management in collective and individual actions asserted under the Fair Labor Standards Act. She has proven trial experience in state, federal and appellate courts, as well as administrative proceedings. Her extensive experience has enabled her to train and counsel employers on important, cost-effective methods to avoid litigation.
Elizabeth is admitted to all state courts in Florida. She has successfully tried numerous cases resulting in defense verdicts. She also has extensive appellate experience, including appearing in the United States Supreme Court and clerked with Judge Mario Goderich at the Third District Court of Appeal.
Elizabeth is a member of the Florida Bar's Labor and Employment Law and the Continuing Legal Education committees and the Appellate Practice and Advocacy Section.
Recent Experience*
· Represented national company in breach of non-compete and use of confidential information case.
· Represented company in jury trial in sexual harassment case.
· Represented company in a class action brought on behalf of all Florida motor vehicle registrants and driver's license holders for disclosure of personal information in violation of Driver's Privacy Protection Act (DPPA).
