Ellen Ham represents management in traditional labor matters and focuses her practice in the airline industry. She assists the firm's airline clients in grievance resolution matters, including grievance mediation and arbitrations. In addition, Ellen represents management in matters before the National Mediation Board (NMB) and negotiates collective bargaining agreements for air carriers under the Railway Labor Act (RLA). Ellen regularly counsels the firm's airline and airline-related clients on a wide range of workplace matters, including employee investigations, drug and alcohol testing under DOT regulations and state law, and contract language interpretation and application. She also conducts management training on various traditional labor and employment-related topics. In law school she was a member of the Journal of Law and Public Policy. Recent Experience* ˇ Represented airlines and derivative carriers in over forty (40) union organizing drives under the RLA (all crafts or classes) since 1999. ˇ Since 2003 has represented numerous clients before the Department of Labor/OSHA that have been served with complaints filed under the Wendell H. Ford Aviation Investment and Reform Act for the 21st Century (AIR21). ˇ Has extensive arbitration practice in both contractual disputes and discipline/termination cases (all crafts or classes).
