Professional Experience
Elliot represents publicly traded companies, closely held corporations, and individuals in all aspects of commercial litigation in State and Federal Court, as well as in arbitration and mediation. He has a general commercial litigation practice with practice areas that include, but are not limited to, defense of consumer class actions, trade secret/non-compete litigation (and related employment and intellectual property litigation), real estate litigation, consumer finance litigation, shareholder litigation, and litigation of claims of fraud and claims of defamation. Elliot is also the captain of Day Pitney's pro bono program assisting Holocaust Survivors with the application for certain pension/reparation programs through the German Government and is a member of the firm's Conflict, Ethics, and Loss Prevention Committee. He is a frequent author and speaker about litigation and on issues such as class action litigation, trade secrets, non-compete agreements, and internet commerce.
Prior to joining Day Pitney, Elliot was the Law Clerk to The Honorable Wilfred P. Diana, A.J.S.C., Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division.
