Emery Jamieson LLP's long and rich history in the Alberta legal profession began before the Province of Alberta came into existence. On October 1, 1893 the firm of Beck & Emery was established and it has since grown to become one of Alberta's pre-eminent law firms. Over the years members of the firm have been actively involved in a wide range of business, cultural and political activities. Some alumni have been elected to provincial or national legislatures; others have been appointed to the judiciary. Members of the firm generously share their expertise both inside and outside the legal profession publishing articles, teaching and speaking in their areas of practice.
