Emma Blanchard is an associate at our Ottawa office. Emma was called to the Bar of the Province of Ontario in 2007 and graduated with Distinction from McGill University Law School where she obtained both a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L). She also obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Literature with Distinction from Queen's University in Kingston Ontario. Emma is a member of the Environmental, Municipal, Expropriation and Regulatory group and the Commercial Real Estate Group. Emma is fluent in French.

- Appearing before the Ontario Municipal Board on land use planning matters.
- Prosecuting and defending provincial offences in the Ontario Court of Justice. Defending municipal and corporate clients in environmental prosecutions.
- Preparing applications for severances, minor variances and rezoning. Appearing before Planning Committees and Committees of Adjustment.
- Advising municipal clients and drafting municipal by-laws.
- Acting for municipalities in municipal procurement matters. Drafting municipal service agreements.
- Acting for municipalities in expropriation matters.
- Acting for vendors and purchasers in real estate and secured financing transactions.
